Frequently Asked Questions

Everything property teams ask about the ResidentPrints managed printer amenity — what it is, what it costs, and how it works for residents.

    What is ResidentPrints?

ResidentPrints is a managed printer amenity for apartment communities. We install a commercial print, scan, and copy station at the property, keep it stocked with paper and toner, maintain it, and support residents directly — all for one flat monthly fee paid by the property.

How is ResidentPrints different from buying a printer for the clubhouse?

A store-bought printer makes the property responsible for supplies, jams, repairs, and resident questions. With ResidentPrints, the device is monitored remotely, supplies ship before they run out, repairs are handled by us, and residents contact our live support — the amenity never becomes a task for leasing or maintenance staff.

How do residents use the printer?

Each resident gets a personal PIN and a monthly print, scan, and copy quota set by the property. Residents upload documents from any device through the resident portal, then release the job at the station by entering their PIN, so documents are never left in the output tray. Scanning to email works the same way in reverse.

    What does the amenity cost?

Properties pay a flat monthly fee sized to their unit count. The fee includes hardware, paper, toner, maintenance, and resident support, with no per-page charges to the property. Current tiers are listed on the pricing page.

    Who is ResidentPrints for?

Apartment operators, property management companies, condo and HOA boards, and specialized communities including student housing, senior living, coliving, corporate housing, build-to-rent, and mixed-use developments.

    Where is ResidentPrints available?

ResidentPrints serves apartment communities in cities across the United States. The markets section of the site lists city-specific details on installation, support, and neighborhoods served.

    How long does installation take?

Most communities are live within days of hardware placement. Installation is scheduled around the property's office hours, and we handle setup, network configuration, and testing on-site.

How are residents onboarded and managed?

Property teams manage residents, PINs, and quotas from a web dashboard. Individual residents are added in seconds, and an entire rent roll can be imported at once by CSV. Access is deactivated just as quickly at move-out.

Who supports residents when something goes wrong?

ResidentPrints does. Residents reach our support team directly through live chat, so printer issues never generate work orders for the property. Supply levels and device status are also monitored remotely, and most problems are fixed before a resident reports them.

    How do I get started?
